Malmbäcks school is a school with about 165 students. We are located in the Småland highlands with proximity to nature. We have a large schoolyard with plenty of space for play and learning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are primarily looking for someone who has a teaching license to teach in leisure centers. The role of the leisure teacher involves having a special pedagogical responsibility to plan, implement, document, and evaluate the activities. The leisure teacher should promote lifelong learning through play and creativity with a pedagogical approach. The teacher should prepare children for life in a democratic and multicultural society. In collaboration with guardians, children should be given care and opportunities for learning.

The role also includes music teaching. The school is equipped with a separate music room that has various instruments, a clevertouch, and a whiteboard. In your role as a music teacher at the school, you have the opportunity to influence how you want to shape your teaching environment.

The assignment is governed by the Education Act, the curriculum, and the municipal governing documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the authority to teach in leisure centers and sports. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teacher.

You are skilled at seeing students' needs and adjusting your approach, responses, and working methods to create the best conditions for each student.

Your assignment involves leading all your students to the best possible knowledge development with clarity, warmth, and a positive view of students, as well as contributing to good communication with colleagues, students, and guardians. It is important that you have good collaboration skills.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students and other staff and that you can document in writing what the activities require.
